Se dice que la noche de Halloween, la puerta que separaba el mundo de los vivos del Más Allá se abría y los espíritus de los difuntos regresaban a los pueblos en los que habían vivido.

Si había una vela en recuerdo de cada difunto los espíritus no molestarían a sus familiares, si estos no veían la vela les perturbaban por la noche y les hacían caer entre terribles pesadillas.
